Twins force do-or-die with Tigers

It's mind-boggling how sports could take a U-turn at the worst of times. Or, for the Minnesota Twins, the best of times. The postseason's not due for another couple of days, but the drama's starting already.

The Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins both won Sunday, resulting in a first-place tie in the AL Central Division and forcing a one-game playoff to determine who gets to face the Yankees in the Division Series How can a team, like Detroit, lead from May 14 and  lose an outright playoff berth in the last day of play? Similarly, how can a team like the Twins who has never been in first place all season suddenly get to play one game in their home field to take away the candy from the meltdown Tigers?

That's why I love this game. It beats any teleserye (TV series) I know. Except Grey's Anatomy, I guess.
Here's the playoff picture for the 1st round.  (Im such a Photoshop caveman. I made this on Powerpoint.)

More updates as the Playoffs go on. October 8. Let the games begin.
